Dear Families, Your student may have RTI support in Math or Reading at school. The classroom teachers will be giving out assignments for E-Learning. I have sent a book bag/folder filled with good fit books to borrow. I have also sent home decks of cards that can be used for a variety of Math games. There are a huge number of resources out on the internet that will help you navigate through the E-Learning. I would like to highlight our Bloomington Public Library. Your library card gives you access to an online book borrowing app. It also has subscriptions to book websites online like Bookflix and Tumblebooks. I highly encourage you to explore this.
We have a subscription to Lexia Learning. This is an app or website gives your student a placement exam and then assigns phonics based and/or comprehension based lessons. This would be a great resource for you to use 30 + minutes a week. I am happy to set up your student account. Let me know via email if this is something your family is interested in using. I am available by email if you have any questions. Reach out if you are having trouble accessing these tools. Are you wondering about what books are appropriate for your student? Want to practice math facts or high frequency words in a fun way? Just ask! I can give you all kinds of suggestions. I’m here to help!
I am praying for all of our families. For their health and safety. That our children will remember the prayers, games, movies, puzzles, and activities we did together. That we find the positive in the situation we’ve been put in. Thanks, Meagan O’Brian
